Steve Matteo is the author of Act Naturally, The Beatles On Film, Let It Be, both published by Bloomsbury and Dylan, published by (Union Square & Co./Hachette). A Contributing Editor with The Vinyl District, he has written for such publications as Newsday, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, New York magazine, Time Out New York, Rolling Stone, Spin and Salon. Additionally, he has lectured at the British Film Institute in London on the films of the Beatles and British films of the 1960s, on Bob Dylan at the New School for Social Research in New York, journalism at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and interviewed various directors at the LIMEHOF Music Documentary Film Festival in Stony Brook, New York in 2025.
