Neil Shea is a journalist, author, and educator who has spent more than two decades covering stories around the globe for National Geographic. He works at the intersection of climate change, conflict, and cultural survival, and he specializes in deeply reported, character-driven narratives. He is the author of Frostlines: A Journey Through Entangled Lives and Landscapes in a Warming Arctic and the creator and host of the Peabody-nominated investigative podcast series Unfinished: Deep South. His work has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, and he teaches creative nonfiction at universities and MFA programs.
