A Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who writes about environmental science, Dan Fagin is also a professor of science journalism at New York University. His bestselling book, Toms River: A Story of Science and Salvation, won the 2014 Pulitzer for General Nonfiction, as well as the New York Public Library’s Bernstein Book Award, the National Academies Science Book Award and the Rachel Carson Book Award, among other honors. The New York Times called it “a new classic of science reporting.” His recent publications include the Times and The Washington Post. His next book is about monarch butterflies and the future of life.
