Chris Finan has been fighting censorship for over 40 years. He is the former president of the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression and recently retired as executive director of the National Coalition Against Censorship. He also received a PhD in American History from Columbia University and is the author of several histories of free speech. His most recent book is “Freedom of Speech: A People's History of Democracy’s Most Essential Right.”
